Flinders University for Indian Students: CBSE 65% Entry, Fees in Rupees, Scholarships up to 50% and Adelaide's Regional Status

Flinders is a public university in Adelaide, named after the navigator Matthew Flinders, with its main campus at Bedford Park in the southern suburbs and a building in the city centre. It teaches health, engineering, IT and business, and for Indian students its pull is a low entry threshold in a Category 2 city.

Why Indian students choose Flinders

Flinders opens a regional-status university to students whose Class 12 marks would not reach the Go8: 65% in CBSE is enough for most bachelor's degrees. Its IT catalogue is unusually specialised, with bachelor's majors in data analytics, digital forensics, machine learning and network and cybersecurity, and its engineering degrees include maritime and robotics. The university hospital, Flinders Medical Centre, is on the Bedford Park campus.

A Flinders Master of Information Technology at ₹30 lakh (A$45,000) a year is about ₹30.1 lakh; with the 25% Global Scholarship about ₹22.6 lakh. Engineering master's cost ₹34 lakh (A$50,100) and the two-year MBA streams ₹31 lakh (A$46,400).

Regional status for the 485: Category 2

Adelaide is a Category 2 city. A Flinders degree adds five regional points on the skilled migration test, and a graduate who lives in a regional area for two years can apply for a second 485 of one year after the first.
