The 485 Visa for Indian Graduates Under the India–Australia Agreement: Two, Three or Four Years
The India–Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement gives Indian graduates a longer Temporary Graduate visa than most nationalities: three years after a master's instead of two, four after a PhD instead of three, and three after a bachelor's with first-class honours in STEM.

Making the most of it
A two-year master's gives three years of open work rights at a fee of ₹3.9 lakh (A$5,750), and a degree from a regional campus can add a second 485 of one or two years. Together that is up to five years in Australia for a master's graduate who studies and then lives in a Category 3 area or Tasmania.
