Fees in rupees
An IT or engineering master's at ₹29 lakh (A$43,280) a year is about ₹29 lakh; with the A$10,000 international scholarship, about ₹22.3 lakh, close to regional-university prices in Australia's largest city. A business bachelor's at ₹25 lakh (A$37,661) a year is about ₹25.2 lakh.
Regional status for the 485: Category 1, no bonus
All campuses are in Greater Sydney, Category 1, so there are no regional points and no second 485. The trade-off for Sydney's job market is the standard stay of two years after a bachelor's and three after a master's.
Pathway
Western Sydney University International College runs English, foundation and diploma programmes into the university's degrees. See pathway colleges.
Our assessment
The value choice for a Sydney degree: lower entry marks and fees than UTS or UNSW and automatic scholarships. Students who want regional benefits within reach of Sydney should compare Wollongong and Newcastle.
